In June 6, 2012, a load of 73000 tons of bulk cargo ship,which named "HEMING", was successfully launched by " Nanhai No.1 " ship launching airbags,. "HEMING" was contributive by Qingdao and shipping group, build by Kay Zhejiang Shipping Industrial Company Limited.The ship is 224.8 meters long, 34 meters wide, 18.5 meters deep, design draught of 10.50 meters, the host power 8705KW, total 42027 tons, 23414 net tons.
Before this, shipbuilding industry generally believe that ship using airbag launching technology generally applies only to the length of less than 180 meters, the deadweight of less than 30000 tons of shipping. But "HEMING" bulk carrier launching by " Nanhai No.1 " high capacity air successfully marked that 70000 tons or more that 100000 tons ship launched by airbags is completely feasible.
