Entre las diversas modalidades operativas que han ganado protagonismo en las \u00faltimas d\u00e9cadas, <strong>Operaciones entre buques (STS)<\/strong> destacan como una innovaci\u00f3n cr\u00edtica.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Las operaciones STS implican la transferencia de carga -principalmente graneles l\u00edquidos como petr\u00f3leo crudo, gas natural licuado (GNL), productos petrol\u00edferos y, ocasionalmente, graneles secos- entre buques de navegaci\u00f3n mar\u00edtima situados uno al lado del otro. En lugar de depender de los tradicionales atracaderos en tierra, estas transferencias tienen lugar en el mar, ya sea durante la navegaci\u00f3n o fondeados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u00bfQu\u00e9 impuls\u00f3 al sector mar\u00edtimo a apartar la vista de la costa y adoptar esta modalidad en alta mar?
