In 2020, Petrobras, a global leader in energy, successfully deployed 25 sets of NANHAI pneumatic fenders (D4.5×L6.4 meters) in its offshore oil and gas transshipment operations. These high-performance fenders ensured safe berthing between FPSOs and tankers. As a result, the entire transshipment process became safer and more reliable.
Customer Background
Petrobras is Brazil’s national oil company and one of the world’s top deepwater oil and gas producers. Because of its complex offshore operations, the company requires high standards for safety, efficiency, and equipment reliability. In particular, operating in rough sea conditions calls for dependable protection systems.
Project Challenges
This project took place in deepwater areas off the coast of Brazil. Therefore, the team faced several serious challenges:
