Bridge Barrier Safety Enhanced with NANHAI’s Foam Floating Modules
The Zhejiang Zhoushan Bridge is a key connection between the mainland and the Zhoushan Islands in eastern China. To ensure the bridge’s long-term safety, the project team needed a strong and stable bridge barrier system that could perform well in tough marine conditions.
NANHAI’s Custom Solution
NANHAI provided a total of 183 custom foam floating modules, specially made to match the design and environmental needs of the project. The modules came in two sizes (D1.8m × L3m and D1.7m × L3m) and were made with high-density closed-cell foam cores. A tough outer layer protects the modules from UV, saltwater, and impact damage.
Our solution focused on:
- Reliable buoyancy: The floating modules remain stable and safe even under strong waves and currents.
- Durable materials: Anti-corrosion, anti-UV, and wear-resistant shells ensure long service life.
