What Is A Marine Launching Airbag?

A marine launching air bag (also known as a launching support air bag or a ship launching air bag) is a specially designed inflatable device used to provide buoyancy and support during the launching and movement of ships in the water. They are usually made of high-strength, wear-resistant rubber material and have the following features and functions:

1.Buoyancy Support: Boat launching air bags inflate to provide enough buoyancy to allow the boat to float on the water or slide into the water from shore. The buoyancy of the air bag can be adjusted as needed to accommodate different ship types and sizes.

2.Support and stability: Marine launching airbags have good support properties and can bear the weight of the ship and maintain stability. They are placed on the sides of the ship as a support device to prevent the ship from tilting or collapsing and ensure the safe launch of the ship.

3.Reduce friction and resistance: Marine launching airbags reduce friction and resistance when launching by reducing the contact area between the ship and the land. This helps reduce friction and hydrodynamic forces during launching, allowing the ship to launch smoothly and reducing the impact on the hull.

4.Convenient to move and adjust: The boat launching airbag is lightweight and flexible, making it easy to move or reposition after the boat is launched. They quickly deflate to release the air inside the bladder so the ship can exit the bladder and enter the water.

Marine launching airbags are widely used in shipbuilding, ship repair, docks and ports. They provide buoyancy and support for the ship’s launching process, reduce friction and resistance, and ensure that the ship enters the water from land safely and smoothly.
