Three Ways To Salvage A Sunken Ship

  1. The buoy salvage method is also called the air bag salvage method. This is the most common method for salvaging sunken ships in the future. Wrecks can be salvaged by sinking salvage bladders to the seafloor and then approaching the ship to inflate the salvage bladders. In the process of salvaging a sunken ship, in order to ensure that the sunken ship has a rough trim angle and floating speed during the floating process, and to maintain the accuracy of the sunken ship’s position after it emerges from the water, the sunken ship is usually floated out of the water during low tide. Therefore, when formulating a salvage plan, the inflation volume of the salvage air bag must be strictly controlled so that it reaches the specified value within the specified time to withstand any accidents that may occur during the salvage process.
  2. Full buoyancy salvage method. In this way, if high-pressure gas is output to the cabin of the sunken ship, a certain internal buoyancy will be formed, causing the sunken ship to gradually float. The wreck is towed to shallow or less stormy waters and then sealed and repaired.
  3. Large floating crane salvage method is mainly suitable for salvage of large sunken ships.
